Book Submissions

BIGfib Books is looking to publish new titles in 2008/9. We are looking for quality fiction in the following areas.
English language texts only: Gay or gay-friendly literary fiction, Lesbian or lesbian-friendly literary fiction, Humour, Satire & Spoofs.
Works must be print-ready (ie proofed and copy-edited). Royalties will be sales-related only - advances will not be paid.
You must self-sufficient and motivated enough to promote your title yourself.

If you believe that your work is finished, copy-ready and is of sufficient literary merit to make it in today's difficult market, please send the first 20 pages ONLY in PDF or Word format to submissions @ bigfib.com
Paper submissions, entire manuscripts and anything outside the distinct categories mentioned above will not be accepted.
If we are interested we will ask for the full MS by email. If not we will tell you why, but will not enter into any further discussion.
In the case of acceptance, BIGfib books will engage to pay all layout, print set-up, cover design and production and listing costs.
Books will be made available to bookstores through all major wholesalers and on-line retailers in both the USA and the UK.
Royalties (typically between 5 to 10% of cover price) will be paid on a quarterly basis.
Advances will not be offered and requests thereof will not be entertained.

Magazine Contributions

Contributions to the BIGfib Lit Magazine are welcome. If you have something to say about gay or lesbian literature, a short story or poem please feel free to submit it. BIGfib do not pay for submissions but we will help promote your work alongside the published article in any way we can. Space is limited, demand is high, and only quality submissions can be considered. The editor's decision is final. Please send in PDF or Word format to submissions @ bigfib.com
