Senate Passes "Dumb-DNA" Bill
WASHINGTON (Rotters).

The U.S. Senate on Tuesday unanimously approved a landmark bill to stop government from excluding people who have a genetic predisposition to stupidity.

Bill sponsors say that as the mysteries of the human genetic code are unravelled, people need protection so that certain types of people aren't excluded from government just because they are proven scientifically to be dumb.

"You could say this is the bill for people with dumb DNA," said Dr. Francis Collins, the director of the National Human Genome Research Institute, who was on hand for the vote. "Soon we'll be able to test DNA and work out for instance if a politician is really genetically dumb or just appears so... This makes it a big issue in Washington right now... "

A White House statement said President Bush supported the bill. "Dumb DNA is something the president could be diagnosed with in the future, and certainly anything which would prevent an excellent candidate such as George W Bush from becoming president needs to be legislated against." the White House said

Democrat Gray Davis recently removed from the post of Governor of California by Arnold Schwarzenegger agreed with the proposals.
"No American should be fired from a job just because he's useless." he told reporters, "Even if he is genetically, irreparably useless."
