Iraqi Government Close To Establishing Control
Over Green Zone

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq's government may have lost control of vast areas of Iraq to powerful local factions, but a leading British think-tank says it is near to controlling the situation within the Green Zone itself. Daily mortar attacks and suicide bombings shaking the backdrop during TV interviews with ministers have become a thing of the past - they no longer occur hourly, but daily.

This reporter (sound of blast) can readily concur that (sound of blast) the Green Zone is indeed one of the safest (sound of blast) spots to be right now in Iraq (sound of blast expected soon).
