Safronov Wins Putinlitzer Prize

Moscow - Reporter Ivan Safronov has been awarded the Putinlitzer Prize, for his "excellence in killing himself" after investigating Russia's sale of Sukhoi-34 fighter jets to Syria and Iran through Belarus.
Safronov, the latest lucky candidate to join Russia's select Dead Reporters Club, is believed to have wanted to step out for a smoke on his balcony, but then changed his mind and instead decided to jump to his death. It was widely expected that this year's Putinlitzer Prize would go to Anna Politkovskaya, and the choice of late-comer Safronov is quite a surprise.
