Bush Still Coy About “Operation Legacy”
By Alan Lord

Washington, DC - During a brief press conference today held to refute persistent rumours about imminent plans to bomb Iran, a visibly exasperated US President Bush brusquely brushed aside any such speculation.
“This idea is totally ridiculous,” he smirked, yanking yet another petal off a daisy he was holding. “There are no current plans to bomb Iran” Bush stated categorically.
He then focused his crossed-eyes on the daisy, stuck his tongue out of the corner of his mouth in concentration, and, mumbling, “we bomb them… we bomb them not… we bomb them,” yanked out the last three petals.
“This morning I’ve instructed the 6th Carrier Task Force group to join the carrier groups already stationed in the Gulf” Bush added, looking up and smiling in wonder, slowly twirling the petal-less stub of a flower for all to admire.
