French To Build Maginot Line In South Lebanon

Paris - Stung by ongoing criticism that France is not doing enough in its Lebanese peace-keeping role, a beleaguered President Jacques Chirac announced that France will build a Maginot Line across the south of Lebanon.

The French construction giant Bouygues has already started trench-digging operations, and Chirac has assured Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that the underground network of fortifications will be utterly impregnable.
