Angelina Jolie To Succeed Kofi Annan As Secretary-General Of The United Nations

UNITED NATIONS - Following American ambassador to the United Nations John Boltons suggestion that an outsider - and a woman - should be the United Nations next secretary general, the predominantly male-dominated general assembly voted unanimously for Angelina Jolie.
Although South Korea's foreign minister had recently emerged as the front-runner, diplomats said all of the four declared candidates had failed to make enough of an impression to date, and that Ms. Jolies hands-on humanitarian work in Africa was the key factor that made the diplomatic community keen to place their hands on her.
Reached by telephone on the set of her latest film Some Like It Botoxed, a surprised and grateful Angelina Jolie choked up blubbering in tears, and her trembling four-pound lips put in a very emotional performance as she declared, Its an honour for me to accept this award and I thank the academy from my very bottom.
