The appeals court of California yesterday ruled that the voting machines of the state must be replaced before the recall vote, which asks voters to decide whether or not they wish to remove the previously elected governor from office, can take place.
The ACLU who brought the action before the judge claimed that inherent faults within the system could result in up to 40000 voters having their votes ignored.
Upholding the request the three judges stated that “Seeing as these same faults in Florida and California enabled the unconstitutional election of the most incompetent and disastrous president in American history it is clear that the machines must be replaced before another disaster…”
Outside the courts one of the judges told BIGfib, “We’re just trying to avoid California becoming a laughing stock…"
