Bush Makes Surprise Visit To Iraq, Aides Told Him He Was Going To Play In The Park By Lee Camp President Bush made a surprise visit to Baghdad Tuesday. The top-secret trip was kept a secret from nearly everyone including Jalal Talabani, the president of Iraq, and President Bush himself.
Apparently Bush's handlers, also called "aides," tricked the president by telling him they were taking him to the park to play. An unnamed aide said, "He loves the park. Loves the seesaw. But he hates going to Iraq. I mean HATES it, even more than the dentist. So we had to tell him we were headed to the park. Surprisingly he never asked why we were taking Air Force One to get there."
The plan worked like a charm until about eight hours into the flight the president got a little suspicious. Aides calmed him down with gummy bears and a promise that there would be a seesaw in Baghdad. The top-secret visit was said to be a success all around.
