Origin of 45 minute claim revealed. “Head(s) will roll”.

The Hutton enquiry today discovered the true origin of the now infamous “45-minute" warning.
The warning that Iraq could use chemical weapons within 45 minutes, which has become the counterpoint of controversy over government interference and "sexing up" of intelligence material, was inserted into an email through a simple typing error.
Jeanie Northrop, typist at the ministry of defence, now revealed as the source of the error told the inquiry:
"I actually typed 45 year's, but the Y key doesn't work properly on my computer... The original mail I sent went out with "45 ear's".
The "45 ear's" statement was later corrected to 45 's by Jeanie’s head and then to 45 ' by Alistair Campbell himself.
Interviewed by journalists as he left the courtroom Alistair Campbell declared, "I'm glad we've finally got to the bottom of this... This puts everyone in the clear, well except for Jeanie Northrop... Now we can sack her and just forget about it all."
