Bush: Military May Fight Iraq With Bird Flu
By Alan Lord

Critics say battling insurgents with Avian Flu would be “genocide”.
WASHINGTON — President Bush, stirring debate on the worrisome military potential of a bird flu pandemic, suggested American troops could use the killer virus to wipe out insurgents in Iraq.

Bush asserted that aggressive action is needed to eliminate the insurgency in Iraq once and for all, and that “the lethal Avian Flu could become a key weapon in the US Military arsenal,” he said.

He further pointed out, “this does not exactly constitute biological warfare or anything contrary to the Geneva Convention,” he smirked and blinked, “since the virus exists naturally, out in the open.”

Citing concerns that state and local authorities might be unable to provide further recruits for Iraq, Bush asked Congress to give him the authority to provide the military with squadrons of homing pigeons which could deliver the deadly Avian Flu virus deep into Iraqi territories.
