FBI Accidentally Taps Self, Uncovers Corruption
By Lee Camp

WASHINGTON D.C. – The Federal Bureau of Investigations admitted that they accidentally tapped their own phones. In a statement, released Monday they state that although the mix-up is embarrassing to the Bureau, it ended up being a positive mishap because they've uncovered many corrupt goings on.

Agents had meant to tap a possible terrorist sleeper cell in the D.C. area. Instead, they tapped the phones of the entire main FBI office. During the three weeks of surveillance before the mistake was discovered, the agents uncovered four cases of laundered money, seven cases of bribery, two cases of illegal cronyism, seven murder-for-hire instances, three cases of prostitution, and 12 illegal wire taps.

A source close to the FBI said that all those cases will be swept under the rug, and the only charges that will be pursued in court are the ones against the agents who accidentally tapped their own offices.
