Los Angeles Residents Forced To Evacuate To 2nd Beach Homes
By Lee Camp

LOS ANGELES - After devastating forest fires destroyed thousands of acres around the Los Angeles area, residents living just outside Los Angeles have been forced to flee their homes and take up residence in their secondary or tertiary beach homes.
The fires are only 30% contained, and there's no telling when these L.A. residents will be able to return to their homes, or what's left of them.
We caught up with one refugee as he and eight of his relatives crammed into a three-floor, five-bedroom ocean-side home near San Diego.
He said, "It's our worst nightmare. Everything we worked for in that particular house might be wiped away. And our other beach house in L.A. could be in danger too. Plus, conditions are horrible here. We've got nine people crammed into a five bedroom. My maid has to share a bed with my chef. We're living like animals here!"

Another refugee, who was discovered cowering in her luxurious Colonial-inspired mansion in Honolulu after fleeing her Victorian-style mansion in California, had this to say, "Where's the government?! I had to evacuate my other home with only the clothes on my back and the clothes that could fit in my Lexus RX and my Porsche 911 Carrera. Now those cars are parked at a private airport, and God knows what's happening to them! Where the hell is our government in our times of need?? Where are all the rescue vehicles? I don't see any helicopters except the one I came to Hawaii on! FEMA has left us for dead!"
Only one home has actually been destroyed in the blaze, and fire-fighters say that the direction the fire is moving is promising. They say there's a good chance no other homes will be destroyed before the fire can be contained.
