New Yorker invites neighbour in for coffee

New York : 22 August 2003.
In move that surprised her as much as it did her neighbour, Jenny Reynolds invited the woman living in the next apartment in for coffee last Sunday morning.
To both women’s surprise the meeting went "well".
When rumour of the strange turn of events reached BIGfib we flew Lolo Laroche to the Big Apple to ask just how it happened.
"I can't really explain..." Jenny told Lolo. "I was walking up the stairs and I saw Sarah, my neighbour across the landing locking her door... The words simply slipped out of my mouth and before I knew what was happening she was actually there, sitting on my sofa drinking coffee."
Suzy agreed that this most unusual of meetings had gone well.
"Well, it was certainly a surprise... I mean we've seen each other going in and out for over nine years... So, like, when she asked me I was suspicious... I thought, well what does she want? But she's actually quite nice. We had a chat, about the building and stuff. It was nice... and she had really good, you know, coffee."
Jenny and Sarah were both however agreed on one point.
"Oh I would definitely warn anyone else against it. I mean, really, just don't do it... It was just a one off thing..."
Sarah agrees. "I mean, you know you could probably end up with some really strange person sitting on your sofa, really anything could happen."
