Bush Fights For Rights Of Terrorist Sleeper Stem Cells By Lee Camp Crawford, TX President Bush stated Monday that as soon as he gets back to Washington D.C. (April of '06) he will propose the Don't Murder Terrorist Sleeper Stem Cell Act, which will make it illegal for scientists or Homeland Security officials to kill or otherwise harm terrorist sleeper stem cells.
Many scientists want access to stem cells including terrorist sleeper stem cells in order to do research that most believe could result in cures for such problems as Alzheimer 's disease and spinal injuries. Homeland Security officials want to dispose of all terrorist sleeper stem cells because they believe those sleeper cells could become full-fledged terrorist groups in as few as 18 years.
Bush however claims that it is a right to life issue, and, as White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan put it, "Once we start allowing the murder of any kind of stem cells, even if it be terrorist sleeper stem cells, we will be headed down a slippery slope that ends in us hacking up three-month-old babies out of convenience or for entertainment."
