South Korea Offers Electricity To North
By Alan Lord
SEOUL, South Korea North Korea yesterday agreed to return to international negotiations on dismantling its nuclear-weapons programs.
The only condition is that South Korea must begin sending its promised 2 million kilowatts of electricity across the demilitarized zone to the energy-starved North.. Frustrated by the slow pace of mass starvation during its current 5-year PPEP (Peoples Peaceful Elimination Plan), North Korean party officials have started feeding power lines from the South directly to thousands of rows of electric chairs housed in brand new Workers Liquidation Barracks just north of the DMZ.
Cheers and toasts greeted a sudden dimming of lights in Kim Jong Ils barb-wired Summer Palace, as the first lucky comrade was fried in a preliminary test of the system.
