George Lucas To Complete Star Wars Prequel
By Alan Lord

CANNES, France - Amid a backdrop of hysterical Star Wars fans screaming for yet another installment in the never-ending saga, George Lucas quickly dashed hopes by dropping a bombshell while being interviewed by reporters.

Asked what he would be doing next in his long illustrious career, the legendary director of American Graffiti confessed that in effect he had never completed high school, and that his next step would be to finally obtain that key diploma.
"I've always kind of done everything back to front," Lucas told reporters.

After some cursory research, it quickly became apparent that a high school diploma is not a prerequisite to enroll in film school in California. Lucas savored the irony that at the same time he will also be setting up a Darth Vader U in Salinas, at which scholars will be able to pursue their studies in Star Warsology to Phd level.

It is expected that by the time Lucas finishes high school, Americans will have only two program choices offered at university level: Star Trek studies or Star Wars studies.
“I know which one I’ll be choosing,” a smug Lucas told reporters. "High school is dull, but it's gotta be done. It's a necessary prequel."
