Silvio Berlusconi wins comedy club contract

Following his hilarious performance in the European Parliament, BIGfib can reveal that Silvio Berlusconi, Italian Prime Minister has been approached by "The Comedy Club" in Berlin as compère.
His sophisticated sense of humour that had representatives from all over Europe crying in delight is quite simply "irresistible", according to Gunter Stern, manager of "Comedy Club Enterprises.
"We knew that Berlusconi would turn out to be a great comedian one day" Stern told Radio Düsseldorf reporter Claudia Fraun, "We've been watching him for a long time, seeing him slowly come into his own as the great humorist that he is... But events this last week have just bowled us over."
"He knows how to run the crowd." Stern continued. "He builds them up, has them gasping for the punch line, and then he quite simply whacks them over the head with it."
As an example of Berlusconi’s sophisticated humour Stern cited the "stunning moment of Irony" when Berlusconi told the German MEP Martin Schulz, "A producer (in Italy) is now shooting a film about the Nazi concentration camps; I propose you to play the role of Corporal."
Schulz, overcome with laughter at the joke was forced to leave the floor.
It is unknown whether Mr Berlusconi will accept the new job but many within the EC are actively encouraging him to do so.
"He is just too funny for the European parliament..." Schulz told BIGfib. "His keen sense of irony is wasted here in Brussels. I think he'll go down much better in Berlin."
