Man Called 'Sri Lanka' Receives $22 Million From Red Cross By Lee Camp
TOKYO Due to a typographical error committed by someone in the Red Cross organization, a Japanese man named "Sri Lanka" received $22 Million in "aid money" Tuesday.
The man came forward, telling authorities that although he does desperately need a new pair of sandals, he does not believe he qualifies for such an exorbitant amount of relief money.
The Red Cross released a statement in response saying that it is true that they did not intend to give that much money to one man. However, they plan to let him keep the money because the paperwork to remedy the mistake would "be a bitch."
Mr. Lanka said that he plans to use the cash to get a new pair of sandals.
