Tsunami-Ravaged Areas
By Lee Camp
BAGDADThe Iraqi government announced today that they too would like to send aid to the tsunami-ravaged areas in Southeast Asia. However, in light of the fact that Iraq has no money and little clean food or water, they have decided to send something they have in abundance people really good at clearing debris.
We spoke with Ahmad, one of the debris professionals leaving for Southeast Asia tomorrow. He told us, Ive been cleaning up bomb-destroyed buildings for almost 20 years. I taught the trade to my nine-year-old son over the past eight months. The key to doing a good job is being the first to find out where the bomb hit and remembering to wear thick gloves.
Along with 800 debris-clearers, Iraq promised to donate 23 security checkpoints. <<< back
