Evangelical Christians now the Biggest Danger to World Peace
Evangelical Christians are now a greater threat to world peace than Muslim terrorists, or so says the Swedish Peace institute (SPI).
BIGfib's Lolo Laroche flew to Stockholm yesterday to speak to Bjorn Ulvaeus, ex ABBA songwriter and current director of the SPI. Bjorn told BIGfib.
"George BUSH has been the worst president the USA has ever seen. His only motivation has been Money Money Money.”
“Now that the American people have had this guy Kerry offering an alternative, effectively saying Take A Chance On Me, we need to look at why the majority of Americans have rejected it and let an opportunity for a fresh start Slipping Through Their Fingers."
"The answer is the Evangelical Christian movement, and the influence they have had on the US vote."
"It's terrifying, but if the Christian Integrists can get the American public to go Head Over Heals for one of the most dangerous, aggressive and war-mongering presidents the world has ever seen, then there is no limit to the damage they can do to world peace... I suggest they re-read their bibles. I would tell every US citizen to re-read the bible. The real message is not one of division war and hatred, but a message that People Need Love, not war, that the man on the other side is not your enemy, He Is Your Brother. And I think there's a bit somewhere in the Bible about not killing.”
BIGfib's US correspondant Agnetha Faltskog in New York adds, "People around the world should remember that not every One of Us voted for the re-election of president Bush, but unfortunaltely in politics, The Winner Takes It All."
