Florida Hurricanes may not be linked to global warming

Scientists at the Environmental Protection Agency gave the Bush election campaign a sharp boost yesterday when they stated that the endless and unprecedented series of Hurricanes hitting the East coast of the United States may be nothing to do with global warming.

“They may not be anything to do with Global warming,” newly appointed EPA spokesman Lionel Iar told BIGfib. “It could just be a series of freaky weather patterns, so there’s no need for people to start worrying about Global warming quite yet.”

The news came to bolster an already jubilant President Bush who has seen his lead in the polls leap to an impenetrable 4 percent since a series of TV ads run by an independent pressure group depicted Senator John Kerry as a “baby-eating machine”.
