Bush says America will be even safer, economy even stronger

George W. Bush this week closed the Republican convention optimistically telling the assembled party faithful that the USA which, during his watch as he put it, has been attacked by terrorists and has been involved in two wars in the Middle East in which more than a thousand American soldiers have died, would be even safer if he is re-elected for a second term.
He also claimed that the economy, which has shed nearly 1.4 million jobs and turned a national $5 trillion dollar surplus into a 5 trillion dollar deficit, the biggest ever in the countries history would be even stronger if the Republicans remain in power. The Republican party members present gave him rapturous applause causing objective political analysts to predict a sure-fire victory in the November elections.
