Democrats Employ Computer Model For Election Strategy

The Democrats yesterday admitted having signed a contract with Berkley University for “Computer modelling services.”
The aim of the commissioned study is, they claim, to analyse different voting scenarios in the run up to the 2004 presidential election.
“It’s all very well just trying to convince people to vote for our candidate,” Democrat running mate John Edwards told reporters. “But we also need to know which voting strategy we can turn into a presidential victory.”
“For instance, there is some confusion at the moment about whether we should try and get more votes than the Republicans, as we did last time around, or whether we should copy Republican strategy and win by getting less votes.”
“Were hoping that the Berkeley model will show us which strategy would be able to put John Kerry in the Whitehouse this time around so we can adjust our game-plan accordingly.”
