Republicans Issue Rebuttal of Farenheit 9/11
The Republican Party, much criticised for not responding or denying the specific claims about the relationship between George W. Bush and the Bin Laden family highlighted in Michael Moores film Fahrenheit 9/11, have bitten the bullet and yesterday issued a written point by point rebuttal.
Republican supporters heaved a sigh of relief as the news became known.
Some of us had gotten to wondering. Binny Barnes of Arkansas told BIGfib. We got to thinking, you know, if that stuff about the President and the Bin Ladens is false, he should be suing that Moore guy for libel, not just, you now pretending that its not happening.
The rebuttal takes the form of four key points on which the Republican party claims the film is libellously false. The report states categorically that :
- Some of the main bits in the film aren't quite true.
- Some of the minor bits aren't quite accurate.
- Editing of some scenes puts the President in a bit of a bad light.
- Bits of the film are one-sided and little attempt has been made to put the Presidents point of view.
If Binny Barnes is typical of Republican voters then the official response should be enough to allay voters fears.
Now weve seen that theres a proper response and explanation for everything I think we can sleep better knowing that our faith in our good President is restored, she said.
