The tieter than ekspected requirment wiwl come into fawce this autom as a wesult of a parlimentry awder mayde by Mr Blunkett yestaday.
We’re previos tests merly shoed that aplicants had made some progres at lerning “BBC” English, the knew test will show that aplicants haf mawstered coloquial English.
“The problem wiv de old tests woz that wilst people coold understand the nooz, they had no eyedeea what their neighbors woz on about.” Blunkett told BBC’s Newsnight.
Beecoz mowst Imigrants end up in the Sarf East, aplicants wiw be reqwired to master free British accents, from East London, Fanet and Essex.

The plans woz criticked by the Libral par-ee who says that load of proper English geezers don’t speak proper anyways, and that they fink the knew test is a finly vayled atempt to stop immigwation.
