79% of Britons have strongly held views about Euro Elections

A MORI poll published in yesterday’s Guardian belie the much-heralded belief that Britons are not interested in the upcoming EC elections.
A full 79% of those interrogated said they agreed with certain statements about the European Elections “Strongly” or “Very Strongly”.
A breakdown of the views expressed by the 79% majority reveal that:
56% agreed strongly that “The European Elections aren’t proper elections.”
23% agreed strongly or very strongly with the statement, “What elections are those then ?”
A mere 21% of the sample of 20,000 voters had “no strongly held views.”
