Pentagon Grapples With how and when to release Images

WASHINGTON, The Defense Department confirmed yesterday that it is planning to provide many more pictures of the sexual abuse of Iraqi detainees, but has not yet decided how or when to release them to the public.

Analysts suggest that the arguments stem from the extreme importance the President and the defense secretary attach to the torture allegations.

Sources close to President Bush say that he favors simultaneous release of the all images and video clips in interactive DVD form with a title such as “Sado-War-Sex-Prison-XXX”, whilst Donald Rumsfeld believes that the images would be more profitably diffused on a best-of basis through media channels such as Bound and SM monthly.
