Sport May Be Good For Health - AASM
A new study sponsored by the AASM, the American Association of sports manufacturers was released today.
It shows, according to its authors, conclusive proof that regular practice of a sporting activity has positive effects on health.
"The statistics were quite overwhelming." David Nike of the AASM told BIGfib. "People who did some kind of sport for more than 3 hours a week said they felt happier, slept better, were less stressed and lived longer."
George Weller of the UK heart foundation said they were "not surprised" by the results, "Everyone's known this for years." he told BIGfib, a view, which is far from being unanimous.
BIGfib contacted the MSC and the ATC for their comment in the long running to-sport or not-to-sport battle.
Steven Cooler of the MSC (Marijuana Smokers council) told BIGfib that these were typically biased results. "It's quite clearly another useless report where researchers have found exactly what they were setting out to find. One can imagine the questionnaire. "Do you do any sport? Do you fell healthier?" But of course it's just statistical crap. Our own survey shows that Marijuana smokers also claim to be happier, sleep better, and less stressed thanks to the drug.
Steven Breather of the ATC (American Tobacco Consortium) agreed. "Look we've done our own research, and according to our stats far more people drop dead of a heart attack while jogging than while smoking a cigarette... I think the facts speak for themselves on this one."
