Iraq war claims new victims

Britain’s Eurovision song contest entry is the latest victim of the war in Iraq.
Penalized by judges from around Europe, the songs failure to get even a single point was clearly a political gesture says Gemini’s Gemma Abbey.

The song, which she claims has “an enchanting melody and wonderful lyrics”, features the chorus:
Bye bye baby
You lied to me baby
I must have been crazy
Baby, bye bye

“It’s a great song...”, she cried at the end of the judging. “Just because Britain is in some war somewhere I don’t see why politics should influence Art... We didn’t deserve this...”
Apparently attempting to liken Gemini’s zero-vote to repression of intellectuals during the second world war Jemini said “Hey even the Italians and the Germans voted against us... and their track record in like, wars and stuff isn’t so great either from what I hear.”
However, according to German judge Wims Meyer the judging was on artistic content alone. “Our judging had nothing whatsoever to do with politics... The judging was not about politics but artistic content.... and there was none, nul, zero...”
