EC asks Poland to build iron curtain “in the name of progress”

In preparation for integration within the European Community on the 1st of May, The EC yesterday requested that Poland step up border controls with neighboring Ukraine and Belarus.
“We’re very worried about drug trafficking and illegal immigrants entering the European Community from the new Eastern front.” EC immigration spokesman Frederic Ascist told United Press Associates in Brussels. “In the name of progress, we need the Polish to ensure that their Eastern Border becomes an impenetrable Iron Curtain.”
