Condoleezza Rice says "nothing to hide and nothing to say"
WASHINGTON (CMN) -- National security adviser Condoleezza Rice says that she "has nothing to hide" from the independent commission investigating the September 11 attacks, and justified her decision not testify before the panel.
Appearing on the CBS news magazine "60 Minutes," on Sunday Rice said that she preferred not to get involved.
My position is clear and reasonable. She said. The commission wants to find out what I have to hide, but seeing as I have nothing to hide theres no point me talking to them. I have nothing to hide so Id have nothing to say. I think it would just be really boring for everyone concerned, us all, you know, sitting in silence staring at our shoes, even if I do have, you know, really nice shoes...
