Coke launches rival to Contrex.
The Coca-Cola company yesterday launched a rival to the French mineral water “Contrex” heavily branded for the last ten years as “Your slimming partner”.
“Dasani” Coca Cola’s new brand of bottled tap water, is, the company claims,100 Times more efficient as a weight-loss aid than the French brand Contrex.
“Our studies show that drinking large quantities of Dasani over a long period will result in very significant weight loss.” Coca Cola’s Marketing manager Eric Vil told BIGfib.
In a blow for Coca-Cola however, the UK government ordered the withdrawal of all bottles of Dasani from UK shelves due to the presence of over 200 times the legal limit of Bromate, a cancer causing chemical.
Mr Vil refused to specifically comment on the product withdrawal saying only: “No pain, no gain. People wanna lose weight and we all know you can’t get something for nothing.”
