UK government offers British military training and Arms for Gadafy troops

Tony Blair yesterday offered Libya’s Colonel Gadafy British expertise and arms including British-made surface to air missiles.
Gadafy, who officially admitted orchestrating the killing of PC Yvonne Fletcher, aged 25 who was shot outside the Libyan embassy in 1984, the 1988 Lockerbie bombing that killed 270 people, and who regularly supplied the IRA with weapons in the 1980s said he was “delighted by the deal.”
“People change”. Blair told BIGfib’s Lolo Laroche. “Gadafy’s done some naughty things in the past, but now he’s a guy we can really trust.”
Blair said that Western governments had to take partial responsibility for what had happened in the past.
“I’m sure that If Libya had had a well trained, well equipped army and British surface to Air missiles in 1988 then things would have come out very differently.”
