Bush and Pentagon disagree about biggest threat to America
A major argument broke out this week between the White House and the Pentagon as a report produced by the Pentagon on global warming was leaked to a UK newspaper, The Observer.
The report, originally commissioned by the Bush administration by suppressed since its publication predicts that climate change over the next 20 years will result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters..
The report claims that climate change could bring the planet to the edge of anarchy as countries develop a nuclear threat to defend and secure dwindling food, water and energy supplies.
The threat to global stability vastly eclipses that of terrorism, say the few experts privy to its contents.
However George Bush yesterday told journalists at Meet The Press that he had been right to suppress the report.
Our administration does not want to go worrying the people of America about stuff that isnt truly worrying. The president said.
I think that we, down here in the White House have a better idea than most about what people should be worrying themselves over and the threat to this nation is clearly not the fact that its going to be a bit sunnier down in Arkansas.
The greatest threat to our nation today, and it is a terrifying threat which needs to be fought with everything we have, a threat which has the power to destroy everything America stands for, and the threat which my administration will be defending Americans from at the next election, is Gay Marriages. The sun may shine or it may not, terrorists may blow up towers or they may not, but if homosexuals are permitted to live together in stable relationships, recognized by the state as has started to happen in Sodom, or San Francisco as we call it nowadays, then that will be the end of America as we know it. So we will be fighting the next election on a single issue. No Weddings for the Nancy Boys.
