Chrysler embraces live hard, die young philosophy.

The Chrysler Group poked environmentalist in the eye yesterday when they revealed a new series of gas-guzzlers at NAIAS 2004 this week.

Where European and Asian motor companies are struggling to find ways of reducing gas consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in response to worries about global warming, Chrysler corp. has clearly opted for the Bush administration view of live hard, die young.

Asked to comment the fact that not one single model revealed by the company addresses environmental concerns, and the fact that the concept cars shown typified by the ME Four-Twelve with it’s quad-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine, seem designed with virtually no other goal than to increase fuel consumption Chrysler representative Gary Uzzler told BIGfib :
“There’s only two ways to live life. You can stay indoors, not smoke, don’t drink, avoid dangerous sports and food additives, or you can live life on the edge. That’s the Chrysler way.”

“If you smoke, hell you may die quicker but you’ll have a whole lot of fun getting there. If you drive a Chrysler Four-Twelve, hell, the whole world may die a whole lot quicker, but you’ll have more fun than most getting there, and with a top speed of 248 mph you probably wont hang around long enough to see it anyway.”
