Bush Pro International Institutions shock
George Bush made it clear on Wednesday that the Isolationist go it alone America is a thing of the past.
Answering journalists questions regarding his speech the President clarified America's relationship with the world today.
"We are for peace and democracy... And sometimes force is necessary to obtain peace." He said.
"We are multilateralists and we will encourage the strength and effectiveness of international institutions." he continued.
"Well, except for the Kyoto climate change protocol which we have rejected because it doesn't suit US oil company interests, oh and the United Nations whom we ignore because they disagreed with us over Iraq, oh and the International court of human rights whom we refuse to listen to because obviously we just know better, oh and the World Trade Organisation which we set up but don't like when it says that our own tariffs are illegal..."
"There are many many more examples of our commitment to multilateralism." The president concluded.
