Helicopter stocks go up as choppers come down
By Justine Doody

Helicopter manufacturers throughout the US have received record levels of investment in the last quarter. The chairman of Sikorsky Aircraft explained to the press:

“Our stockholders are confident that there’s going to be a great demand for our product for years to come.”

The Bush administration has pointed to this growth as proof that the controversial Iraq war is having a positive effect on the US economy, despite the increasing national debt. Secretary of the Treasury John W. Snow told reporters:

“Operation Iraqi Freedom has achieved a huge amount for the American people, particularly those involved in the oil and armaments industries. I share the President’s belief that as a nation, we need to put food on our tables, and the President is a shining example to us all – the invasion of Iraq has enabled him to provide very lucrative opportunities for his family and friends.”

In other news, Ridley Scott has reported a promising start to production on his latest film, “Black Hawk Down Again”.
